ABOUT

About XLR Project

XLR Project is an art laboratory and a production factory for digital media art. As a true vector of sensory experiences, XLR Project melt video, music, dance, theater, architecture, light and literature through technologies.

We design our own works and enjoy collaborating with other structures, artists or projects. We develop and program our own software, which allows us to be closer to our creative goals and often exceed them.

Our work is transversal by the media used, but also by the artistic currents that we go through. We seek to agree with a utopia: we want to understand the present and continue to give a different vision of our world.

NICOLAS TICOT

NICOLAS TICOT

Nicolas Ticot, at the head of XLR Project, is a peripheral artist, born in the electro culture and an actor of DIY of the 90s. Precursor of the Vjing who mixes images with sounds in a composite culture of the sample, he work in a constant relation to technological innovation. His art is made with the materials of margins, it is there that he finds enough cultural roughness to feed his process. Artist of residencies, it’s where he lives, collecting visual and sound documents to create his complex scenic constructions.

XLR Project is a contemporary manifesto : naturally nomadic, the artist is international, circulates on major axes and moves away to work away. It’s there, in these peripheral spaces where he mixes his culture and the others, mixing the sounds and images he collects, in the digital matrix.
